This policy explains what information RestMania (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit restmania.com, how it is used, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, email hello@restmania.com.

Information we collect

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the date and time of your visit. This is used to deliver the site securely, diagnose problems and prevent abuse, and is kept only as long as needed for those purposes.

Information you give us

If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you include in your message. We use it only to reply and, where relevant, to improve our articles. If you subscribe to a RestMania newsletter in future, we will store your email address with your consent and you can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. RestMania’s core pages work without cookies for fonts or site search; those features are hosted on our own servers or run locally in your browser.

Analytics

Our host Vercel provides privacy-oriented Web Analytics on the live site (page views and top routes, without third-party advertising cookies). See Vercel’s analytics privacy policy .

We also use Google Tag Manager to load analytics (such as Google Analytics) so we can see how readers use RestMania—for example, which articles are opened and how visitors move between pages. Google may set cookies such as _ga and collect usage data including your IP address in pseudonymised form. We use this only to improve the site, not to sell your data. Google’s privacy policy explains how they process data: policies.google.com/privacy . You can install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on to limit Google Analytics on this and other sites.

Advertising and Google

When advertising is enabled on RestMania, it may be served by Google AdSense and its partners. In that case:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to RestMania and/or other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU/UK).

How we use and share information

We use information to run and secure the site, respond to you, understand which content is useful and, where enabled, show advertising. We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the site (such as hosting and email), with advertising partners as described above, or when required by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the UK and EU GDPR, Canadian and Australian privacy law, and US state laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent.
